  1. Alright the problem has been finally resolved. Here is how to burn Widescreen(16:9) DVD's with Vista DVD Maker.First of all you must have the Xvid Codecs do not waste or confuse this with DivX they are not the same.First set the Xvid encoder and decoder to 16:9 and do the same in the Vista Movie and DVD maker these two programs are linked and sometimes the Movie maker can over-ride the DVD maker.Next makes sure your movie is in Xvid format, if it is not there is a good chance that at 10.6% of the DVD Maker encoding process you will get a failure. You might ask how I know this? the answer is trial and error for the last month.
  2. So the VMP files turned out to 4 : 3. That is good to know. Now try an AVI file and let me know what ratio you get.Might have to use the DivX converter.I'm going to convert the AVI file to Home Theater and see what happens then.
  3. When you burned the WMP files did they come out in a 1 : 1 ratio??
  4. Both the DVD Maker and DiVX have an option to change the aspect ratio to 16:9.However even after the change it is still burning the DVD to a 1 : 1 ratio. WTF??? I'm totally lost with this. I will have to look further to see why this is happening.
  5. Alright, even though I have the Vista DVD Maker set on Widescreen format it still compress it to 4.3 format.Could this be a codecs issue????Yes Biga, it is a codecs isssue :beerIn the DivX Decoder Configuration Utility you can force the 16:9 aspect ratio

  11. While I had a laugh. My son Erik bit someone at school yesterday, they were in the gym and I'm presuming he felt that the other kids were not sharing, so in order to get a ball, he had to take some action :hoorayNow he is only 2 1/2 so reasoning with him is out of the question. Here is the funny part, I get home from work around 830pm and he is usually a sleep by that time, but yesterday he stayed a wake. My wife thinks the only reason that happened was because he was nervous that he would get in trouble from me when I got home.I love my son too much, so he was asked not to bite his friends in school anymore. :angelbig
  12. I was lurking for a bit, but than decided to log inHello lurkers
  13. To be honest, no.Erik has been sleeping through the night for 11 hours in total. At the time I was writing my post he was a bit sick, so that might have been the reason of his constant up and down sleeping pattern. We did watch it, but right now I cant see how it would make things better :hooray

  18. The problem with the boat I posted is that a crane and full crew of who knows how many people, got to keep it in top shape always. Which I'm sure you know cost a ton of $$$$$$$.In retrospect the sailboat might cost more in the beginning, but it will not have the huge maintenance issues that the Offshore race boats have.I should have said this in the first place
  19. I know what you mean R1Lover, Hailey is very cute
  20. Here is my dream boat, but even if I won the lottery, I don't think I could afford it.
