  4. Often times images are too large to upload to the site, there is a reason for this so I will explain it in a "For dummies" sort of way. With all the new digital cameras out these days and the pixel and image size capabilities available, a normal digital image now is approx 2mb in size. Most times when people buy a camera, they don't always understand the settings and just set it to the largest size available. While this is ok if you are just printing your pics, it's not ok if you are going to share them on the web.If we allowed unlimited uploading sizes on this site then anyone on dial up or a slow cable or dsl connection would not be able to view the site. So we have to put some restrictions in place. So there lies the issue, your camera is spitting out 2mb each and the restriction here and many forums is 300kb, some sites are even less then this. Here are three very useful image resizing utilities for windows systems, with all of these you can simply "Right Click" on any image on your pc and select re-size picture. They work well and also have a few options.I would suggest to all that if you don't have photoshop or another image utility that you can re-size your image in to use the above programs. Some people like to use images hosted on photo sites or other forms, this causes other issues also though. Most other sites don't like people stealing their bandwidth and most photo sites are slow loading.Windows 7 - http://imageresizer....ases/view/30247Windows Vista - http://www.vso-softw...age-resizer.phpWindows XP - http://download.micr...wertoySetup.exeRemember it's always better to upload your images here on the forum or in your usercp to your image gallery then host on other sites.I hope this will help some of you.
  5. 2. Copy all existing files from /forum to /forum-newa. SSH - while in your public_html folder run this command "cp -r forum forum-new"b. SFTP - Open the /forum folder, select CRTL + A to select all contents, right click on top of your selection and select "Duplicate" this will open a location to duplicate it too - enter the forum-new folder for the location, it will look like this for the whole path /home/username/domains/domain.com/public_html/forum-new
  6. 1. Create a new folder in your /public_html called /forum-newThere are two ways to do this and most items, SSH or SFTP, where available I will outline both methods. a. Create the new folder via SSH by running the following command. navigate to your public_html directory by doing the following "cd /home/username/domains/domain.com/public_html" then press enter Then do the following "mkdir forum-new b. Create the new folder via SFTP (I recommend winscp) Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of your public_html directory and right click in an open area and select "New" then select "folder"

  9. I see you made it.... :poke

  10. All of your sites have been updated to the latest version of Tapatalk as of this morning, they have included a new feature allowing uploads via tapatalk, this feature has been turned off due to some issues they have. While they have allowed uploads finally, they are hosting these items on their own servers, which are located overseas on a poor performing server which causes these uploaded images to load very slowly. Doing this was a mistake imo by the owners of tapatalk and they are taking there sweet time in correcting it as well. So for the time being I have shut off all image uploads until they resolve this issue with their software and we can upload directly to the forums own attachment database. If there are any issues let me know.
  11. Then it must be something on your network blocking it... you seem to have a pretty anal it guy lol
  12. Go to Tools > Options >Content > pop up blocker, add an exception for http://www.exactservers.com see if that fixes it for you.

  14. That's actually a client side java script, meaning it depends on your pc to run the java script, which means if it's slow you need a faster computer lol :)Is it slow for anyone else?
  15. Then you most likely have a pop up blocker stopping the forums inline notification (pop ups)

  23. I was changing up the active and new post yesterday, I made them hidden until you log in, when I did this, I renamed the second one wrong, I'll fix it...
  24. Also you can check this thread to ensure you have this set properly, I have made it so all new users have this by default, but when I import from the other sites, users will have to do it manually. http://http://www.exactservers.com/forum/index.php?/topic/204-how-to-set-your-new-post-feature/
