(make sure ImageMagick is installed) find . -name \*.jpg -exec convert -size '800x600' {} -resize '>800x600' {} \; This will allow the server to open the images at an 800x600 size, (saving memory and speeding up the conversion, and then resize to 800x600 (second -resize) So if you have thousands of images, some large and small, this will only re-size, according to your settings above.
